Starting January 2, 2013, the Bergenfield Library is offering Bergenfield residents access to MANGO Languages, the remarkable new online language learning tool, suitable for travelers, business people, students, and English as a Second Language learners.
MANGO Languages is made possible by a donation of the Friends of the Bergenfield Library.
This service is free and available at the library or remotely from home or work. All that is required is a valid Bergenfield Library card. To log on, visit the Bergenfield Library webpage at www.bergenfield.bccls.org and click on the link for Mango Languages. Follow the instructions for getting started and learn a new language!
MANGO has ESL courses designed to help speakers of Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnames, Arabic, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Russian and several other languages.
Traveling to another country for business or pleasure? At last count users may choose from 45 different foreign languages. This program is also helpful for middle school and high school students, learning a foreign language and who would like to practice in a low-key, self-paced environment. Or for the curious, this is yet another learning opportunity available through the library.
Classes to introduce how to use Mango Languages will be offered for Bergenfield residents. For more information, contact the Library at (201) 387-4040 and ask for Don Hansen, ESL and Adult Programming Coordinator.
